Online store

Who is responsible for the online store setup, order and shipping process?  The process needs some improvements.

1.)  Once an order is placed, send NOTIFICATION that the order is HOLD!!!

2.)  If an item is backordered, send NOTIFICATION that the item is BACKORDERED!!!

I waited two days for product to show up, and when it did not arrive, I went online to the store to check status.  Order show on hold, and backorder.  Hmm, what's on backorder?  NOTHING on the order is noted on backorder.  Strange.  Place call to 3DR in Mexico, and get told one item, buzzer, is backordered. 

Uhhmm, CANCEL that line item and ship the rest of the order.  Then, I am told it will take 1 to 3 business days for the order to ship.

Anybody have a similar or dissimilar experience?

Any possibility that the above noted suggestions will be implemented?

Please advise.

  • I had a similar problem this week. I ordered a new telemetry set and requested overnight delivery (which amounted to about 1/4 the price of the order), and the order was not processed in a timely manner. Instead of getting it the next day, and there was PLENTY of time for that, I got it the following Monday. What is the point of overnight delivery? 

    When I sent an email expressing my displeasure the person that responded told me that I should have read the web page more closely, and that it says "ships in 1-3 days". Again, what's the point of overnight delivery if you aren't going to get around to putting it in the box in a reasonable amount of time?

      I had a similar reply/response as well, via a phone call stating 1 to 3 days to ship.  Do not understand the logic either.  What I have now begun doing, is calling 858-225-1414 once I place the order, giving the order #, and confirming all items are available and that it will be shipped out that same day.  Pretty much extra steps, and I now inspect what it is that I expect, confirm and re-confirm.

    I'm sorry about that.  Your requests are completely reasonable and we're listening. We're working on improvements to the store that will give the automated alerts you've suggested.
