How does one assign APM 2.6 data streams from the accellerometer or barometer to an output pin that can be jumped across to the input pins on an Arduino board?

I'm using an UNO board as a remote sensor platform and controller to avoid interference with APM functions and would like to make the lighting system sensitive to acceleration and/or altitude data without adding weight with additional sensors. The idea is to make the lights turn red or flash faster (or something) when near the ground and coming in too fast; in essence, a visual indicator system for night flight to aid in collision avoidance which may include sonar data as well.

Should be a simple couple lines of code but I'm not there yet, baby steps.

  • Step 1:  Start with a common ground between your power supplies, assuming use of two batteries.
