Parellel Programming

   I've done a lot of AVR Programming over the years, but always did it via parallel.  Will the Ardupilot let me do that, or is the software specific to the USB FTDI cable?

    Well, I wound up getting the FTDI adapter thingy from sparkfun. Tic, toc, tic, toc. Can't wait to start hiooking stuff up.

    You probably want to use the arduino ide and ftdi cable, it's pretty easy really. http://www.arduino.cc/en/Main/Software

    You would be able to program it via the spi with a programmer, there is an spi programming header and thats how the bootloader gets on there.
