My flight buddy Jon had a great idea on using the APM with the 9XR to be able to pan/tilt with the same stick that you normally drive with.  It would only work while the APM is flying, but its a pretty simple setup. http://youtu.be/sASY__yLxD0

"Thanks, Chris!!
I got it fired up now.  I had to do that, as well as the ESC calibration.  Now I have to wait for Missouri to thaw a bit, and get it out of my dining room to try it out!"

"Now those two, I have seen before.  I keep ALMOST getting into SPAD designs, but at a dollar a sheet, foamboard is just as comfortable as an old pair of jeans at this point.  LOL!"

Tim McMahan replied to Tyson Anderson's discussion Plans for a training platform
"   Any idea what the specs on that battery and motor are?  Sounds like you're wanting to build something more substantial than a trainer.  I fly mostly 3S, and some 2S.
I have always recommended the BluBaby AP1 for drones, or learning RC.  Its…"

A report on my images of local flooding. I haven't gotten an autopilot up and running yet, but am about to install auto-stabilization.  Even with the footage I got, the local web news site was happy to get it. Video here.

I got your message about the spar.  I used two CF arrow shafts joined together for one ginormous spar.  I get them USED for less than a dollar a piece from a local archery guy."
