A lot of safety focus for RPAS is rightly on protecting the general public, that is people that are not associated with the flight of the RPA. We recently did some advanced training (but we are still learning) and the instructor was telling us horror stories about pilots being injured.
Two stories where:
1. A person had their arm ripped up when launching a push prop plane by hand.
2. A person had their shins cut up when an ESC in their multi-rotor failed and a prop spun up.
What are the pilot and assistant risks we should consider when trying to make a safe workplace for our RPAS pilots and crew?
