Pixhawk 3DR v1 Cable

I just received a 3DR version1 Radio set to connect to my Pixhawk controller.  Both the Pixhawk and the 3DR radio have a 6 pin connecter on them, but it not a straight pass through like the one used with the version 2 3DR.  The APMcopter site has a wiring layout  to use the version 1 3DR with the Pixhawk, and it is not a pass through like V2 3DR uses.  3Drobits does not make a cable I can use.  Those wires are small to splice, but I can do it needed.  Has any one done this and does it work.

    This is a reply to my (Pixhawk 3DR v1 Cable). I took a six pin cable and cut it in half, using the wiring layout from APMcopter 3DR section I hacked a new six pin cable . I connected the HobbyKing 3DR radios and all works great
