Hello everybody, I'm a newbie to the UAV world and right now I'm trying to hook up a flight controller to a fixed wing plane. I've got the Pixhawk 4 and I've been able to connect it with QGroundControl, the flight planner program, but I cannot figure out how to connect it to my plane's receiver and transmitter. From what I read in preparation for this project was that a PPM encoder would be needed so that the Pixhawk 4 could connect my plane's servos - I'm using a Spektrm Dx6e transmitter and AR610 receiver. As you can see in the image below, I have a PPM encoder (the thing in the bottom right) connected to the Pixhawk 4, but it's unclear to me what to do next. How do I connect the AR610 receiver to the PPM encoder? Do the servos connect to the encoder, or do I need another type of PPM encoder (see here)? I'm a bit confused on how the PPM encoder works as there is no instructions and no documentation out there on how it works in conjunction with a Pixhawk 4.
Or do I need a different receiver that can connect to a remote receiver (see here)? As I said I'm new to this field so some help would be greatly appreciated before I decide to buy something that might not help.
