So two questions about the Pixhawk:
- is it possible to fly at an angle to the direction of flight using the autopilot
- does circle point the nose toward the center of the area or is it forward facing the whole time

You're referring to the ArduCopter firmware running on Pixhawk? If so, 1) yes 2) it points the nose towards the center
