pixhawk refusing to arm after ESC calibration

I'm swapping my 3dr quadcopter's APM 2.5 to a pixhawk.

I'm able to get through all the setup, and even the ESC calibration.

As the last step of the ESC calibration(http://copter.ardupilot.com/wiki/initial-setup/esc-motor/), i'm able to use my Spektrum dx6i transmitter to

  1. If the long tone indicating successful calibration was heard, the ESCs are “live” now and if you raise the throttle a bit they should spin. Test that the motors spin by raising the throttle a bit and then lowering it again.

Then I set the throttle to min. and disconnect the battery. I wait 30 secs, plug the battery back in. I pull my throttle to the lower right for 5 secs and the main light turns green, so I pull the throttle back to the center min position.

Now, nothing happens if i raise the throttle at all.

After a few more seconds, the main light turns back to a flashing blue.  I can pull the throttle back to lower right and the main light will turn green again, but nothing happens.

Any ideas what's wrong?

  • Got the same problem with my PIXHAWK firs time setting it up with EMAX 25A 4in1 ESC.

Were you able to figure it out?

    • Sorry I have not been able to determine what to do after the arming stage...

Anton, have you been able to get help from 3d robotics?

      • Never raised a support ticket with it. falling back on spare single ESCs as i need a functional drone ASAP. Tested EMAx with MWC autopilot, works like a charm. also tried dropping the refresh rate on ESC signal, no difference.. can't justify putting more time into it.

  • Any ideas if i'm missing a step? I emailed 3d robotics support last week but I got zero response so far.
