Power APM 2.0 from 3DR Power Module

It would appear that it is possible to power an APM 2.0 with the 3DR Power Module by replacing one end of the DF13-6 cable with servo-style connectors for power and voltage/current sensing.  Is this a good idea?  If so, what is the pinout of the Power Module?

Also, in this configuration would it be acceptable to connect the power to the pins marked "do not connect to 5v pin"?

  • So does this allow you to monitor current usage as well? Doesn't the Power Module allow voltage and current monitoring?

    what are your thoughts on this setup? Do you feel the measurements are accurate? I'm surprised there isn't more interest in this.
  • UPDATE:

    I got everything rigged up and it seems to work!  The 3DR Power Module sensor outputs are plugged into A1 and A2.  The APM 2.0 is, of course, now being powered through the Analog Input pins, and is powering six opto esc's through the Output pins.
