power out to receiver when only on usb?

My receiver doesnt have support for battery, so that means it only operates when the battery is plugged into the APM. However this isnt good for HIL simulation when only the APM is powered on by usb and the motors and esc dont need power.

Is it possible to get +5v out from one of the apm pins to the receiver while its connected to the computer and usb?

Put the copter and xbee within a foot of each other and you should get telemetry while on USB power only.
