Building my first quad but having problem with not enough power. 5000 mah 3s 11.1 v 30c discharge rate battery passes through 3Dr power module to distribution board to 4 35amp esc's to 4 1000kv A2212 motors spinning 10x4.8 props. Takes off okay but after only 2-3 minutes even at full throttle it barely gets off the ground. I have tried other batteries with same results. Transmitter is showing full range of output on channel 3 / throttle. Re-calibrated esc's 3 times no change. Using apm 2.6. Never built a quad before but I thought all the components should work well together so I'm at a loss what to try next. Anybody have any idea's???

Well I think I figured it out! How many times is it just something simple...... the wire feeding the power module i.e. everything!!... was frayed and only about %20 was connected. So that was a significant amount of resistance trying to get all that current through a small wire. I almost lost it over my garage the first time I punched it :]
If the motors are barely warm then you probably need to use 12 inch props.
The lack of throttle between half and full also indicates the motors are under loaded.
Just looked at your pic and you won't be able to go 12 inch so 4S is your only real option.
Not sure on the weight but heres a pic. It doesn't seem unusual? I will test voltage after 3 minuites. I see you have a 4s maybe I need that.. figures I just spent $50 on this 3s

I think your props are to big.
Try 9x5.
What is the weight of the quad?
What is the battery voltage after 2-3min flight?
For example i'm using "Turnigy Multistar 2814-700Kv 14Pole" motors, 30A TBS bulletproof esc, 4s 4500mAh 35-70C, quad weighs ~1500g and am using Graupner E 9x5 props.
I'm getting about 15min off flight.
