Guys,
I have got my Skywalker, with the following :
APM2.5 w/Airspeed and 3DR Power Module / MinimOSD
RFD900 Telemetry modem
4x Servos ( for control surfaces )
1 TSLRS LR Rx
1 APM-CHDK Cable ( built from a light switch )
1 Castle Creations 10A BEC
Turnigy Super Brain 60A ESC with 4A BEC.
I have all this wired up in the following way :
3DR Module powers the APM AND the TSLRS Rx via the Input rail.
CC BEC Powers JUST the servos on the Output rail.
The BEC On the ESC powers the RFD900
Is that the best setup ? I am worried about the reliability of the 3DR module. I know i am not taking much power off it, but the Rx and the APM both get power from it. If that fails, then the plane's dead.
Should i try to get my power to the Rx via the CC BEC ?
Suggestions welcome !

Hi, yes you can move the Rx power to the BEC if you like. But probably it's only about 50mA or so.
Well designed receivers are pretty insensitive to brownouts - and there are a lot of those in many RC plane BECs.
I would probably just connect both radios to the power module and ground test that for nice and long. Neither APM nor the radios should consumer more power in flight anyway.
