PPM decoder with DEVO 7 issues

 Hi all, has anyone used the encoder with a DEVO7 with a PIXHAWK? It seems every combination of input to my receiver does not allow a proper calibration in mission planner. I have reset my my control to factory reset and believe it is in plane mode. Getting really frustrated and don't want to start with a new radio, but I'm thinking that might be the easiest.

I know it sounds silly, but is there a step by step fool proof way to set this up? Thanks in advance.

      PPM encoder working only on battery,USB dont do enough power for it.
