In my 1/8 Catalina PBY I have an on board pneumatic pump with a small tank for wheel retracts. I installed the pump since the valve leaks just a little bit (pressure 6-8 bar). After installing the ArduPilot 2.5 had to replace the brushed motor with brush less motor because of the interference with the ArudPilot (the entire plane goes CRAZY as soon the motor starts running). The in-runner has to run with the ESC so the automatic pressure switch had to be removed.
Is there any pressure sensors that work up to 10 bar and that can be used on OSD? I need some kind of indicator if and when I have to start the pump running.
Landing can be pretty difficult if you do not have operational wheels on a 30 kg plane:-)
