Problem in connecting ArduPilot with X-Plane (on OS X)

Hi,

I have today struggled to setup ArduPilot into loop with X-Plane on my MacBook Pro.

I did everything based on the instructions at http://code.google.com/p/ardupilot-mega/wiki/Xplane:

1. APM setup with CLI: As usual

2. Changing APM_config.h file: DONE

3. X-Plane: ok

4. Serproxy (configured) and X-Plane perl-file: both run ok

5. X-Plane configured (data input & output, net connections)

6. (not done with this setup)

Here is what happens:

1. I turn on APM (which is connected to the other one of the USB ports)

2. Next I open and run Serproxy and get message "Waiting for clients"

3. Then I run the X-Plane perl application: no error messages

4. The problems arrive when I finally turn on X-Plane. At the moment when X-Plane is ready (the airplane is at the end of runway, and ready to go), X-Plane perl application terminates. The messages are following:

 - "Xplane.pl": Invalid type '<' in pack at xplane.pl line 267.

Any ideas what I should do or check? Is the sequence of my actions correction?

All ideas appreciated!

Br,

Heikki
