Problem with new APM2.5 and missing data / packets...

Hi,

I received my new APM2.5 yesterday.

The configuration of the setup is as follows:

APM2.5 top entry

Telemetry US 900Mhz

uBlox GPS module (as suppled from 3DR with APM2.5 firmware - I presume).

3DR Power monitoring module.

I connected the GPS (via the OLD GPS port on the APM2.5) & the 3DR Power module (to power the APM2.5 from a 3S Lipo).

After connecting the USB, the PC detected the APM2 & I setup the USB driver etc (i.e. got a COM port assigned).

I managed to connect the Mission Planner via USB with the APM2.5 and uploaded the arducopter 2.9.1 firmware. This went ok.

After connecting again, I could see all the MAVlink parameters being transmitted & activity on the comms leds.

However, after all the MAVlink parameters were downloaded, the only activity that I saw seemed to be a heartbeat packet (17 bytes?) that was occuring at a 1Hz rate.  NO data was being displayed on the mission planner & no movement on the artificial horizon.

When I clicked on the terminal button on the Mission Planner, the text based interface for the APM 2 comes up. I can see the setup, reboot, test etc options.

If I go into the test, I can see the various options and some of them seem to work (i.e. magnetometer) and it outputs via text the heading & flux info.. some seem to not work (i.e. GPS)..

I have attemped to use a different firmware version with no luck as well as leaving the unit if it was doing some background activity (i.e. formating storage as hinted upon by a different post).

However, still no luck...

Any ideas anyone?????? :( It doesnt look as if my APM2.5 is DOA but it's in the intensive care area..

What version of mission planner?  If the serial console works, then the hardware is fine - there is something in software or settings related to the problem.

Does the power light come on (Red LED) on the GPS? Does the Blue LED flash on the GPS indicating a Lock?
