I am having problems connecting mission planner to my APM2.0 after I upgraded my PPM encoder. Trying to move up from ArduCopter V2.9.ib Hexa to V3.0.
Mission Planner 1.2.59 mav 1.0 APM2.0 3DR Radio Win7 computer with USB

is where I found how to upgrade the ATMEGA 32U2 PPM encoder. Upgraded PPM encoder, it said it was successful. Now when I plug in APM into USB port my it still shows up to select from but does not connect.
Example : After plugging in APM to USB port (3DR radio unplugged) I go into Mission Planner and select HARDWARE The AMP2.0 board on the A B C LEDs only has steady on RED, no blue light, no yellow TX is blinking fast RX is blinking slow Blue GPS led is steady ON. Then I select COM3 and 115200, then press Connect (blue and red lights do some blinking) Mission Planner shows Connect Failed When I look closer at why it shows

I went to device manager > Control Panel > Device Manager It shows everything is OK. COM3 is set at 115200 8N1N , use FIFO is selected It says THIS DEVICE IS WORKING PROPERLY.
I went to let it upgrade the driver and it says it has the latest version.
Does anyone see were I went wrong.
Thanks Ray

Did you remember to remove the JP2 strap after you did the PPM encoder update?
