I am no expert but am about to buy my first arduplane. I'm pretty sure they just use the arduino which has it's own language. My son has one and it's pretty easy to learn.

  the thing with the arduino is that i think it is very limited. I mean i want to develop from 0 a drone. My own s.o and software
