Hello all ... I understand this has been discussed numerous times here, but I have methodically addressed all the suggestions I can find online and nothing is working. So I am reaching out to you all for some help...
So... My quad copter is flipping over on take off... Here is what im running...
Naza Lite - Brand new
4 x DJI 2212 920kv motors, also new
4 x RCtimer 30a opto ESC's - also brand spankin new
Frsky Taranis & X8r Rx/tx - also new, and has been binded
running on S-bus (aka d-bus) from the X8r to the naza
the quad did work before I installed the new Naza lite, since then, it flips every time...
* - i've checked blade placement, everything seems proper
* - i've checked motor direction, everything is going the right way
* - i've re-calibrated the esc's about a dozen times, everything seems properly calibrated
* - i've lowered the idle speed, no luck
* - i've tried taking off aggressively, just gunning it after start up, flips over even more violently
side note - it flips both right and left but it seems random which way it goes.
but it DOESNT flip over forward or backward, its just to either side.
also, to me everything "seems" hooked up correctly, i added some photos, I also added a photo of the naza assistant with the quad hooked up... IF you guys need anything else, dont hesitate, but im nervous to do it again for video, im convinced im gonna break it if it flips again, its ruining my confidence! At the end of the day, im still a newb... hence this post... thank you in advance for any help you can offer! //SeanS

I had a similiar problem with my Naza Lite flashed to V2 with 920kv RCtimer motors and Afro Slim 20A Esc. I burned one ESC at some point and ordered another, from Europe this time, and it seems that this one was a bit different (at first sight it had different FET brand , and a sticker on the Atmel chip with some numbers - 15/15 when all the other ESCs had different numbers - 12/15, but all the rest was the same). With calibration done by the book and everything hooked ok the quad was gently flipping over the right side each time I was trying to takeoff. I took apart everything and reflashed each ESC with the latest SimonK firmware and calibrated everything again this time using a 4in1 cable in order to sync all ESC in one shot. Now it works great, I have no more issues and I think the problem was the different firmware version between ESCs.
Ok everyone, I sorted this out thanks to a guy named Brian who runs Advanced-UAV near Sacramento California... the solution??? >>>> I had ESC 3 and 4 reversed going into the naza... so ESC 4 was going into slot M3, and ESC 3 was going into M4... I switched those around and BAM! she took off like a champ :) I am so stoked, and i feel kinda stupid... lol... this was a pretty dumb mistake, but im gonna leave this up here for future reference to those who encounter the same problem.
thanks to Brian at http://www.advanced-uav.net/ <<< This guy is pretty darn good at this whole quadcopter thing!
