Hello all. I'm thinking of building a quadcopter using ducted fans. Has anyone tryied it ? Can anyone predict if it's going to be harder to control ? Does anyone knows any pros and cons ? Thank you :)

Ducted fans are made to be moving through the air all the time so the loads go down. In a quad they would be mostly static and working very hard. Most fans have a warning saying not to run static too long or you will damage them. Also they dont work very well with fine changes in rpm that is required on a quad. It has been done but not very efficent.
