Quadcopter with apm 2.5 keeps on flipping over, help please?

Hi Guys,

As the tittle says, my quad keeps on flipping over after i let off the throttle a bit. its flying in stabilise mode.

another problem i have is that it powers up extremely fast(spools props), on the attached video throttle was set at about 5-10% and wants to take off and it looks like its oscillating. i have no control have you guys seen this erratic behavior before?

Set up is as follows;

-arducopter frame

-cheetah outrunner 1000kv motors with apc 10x4.7 props

-20A ESC

-Apm 2.5 with the 3dr telemetry

- I am using a Dx5e with the stabilise and alt hold

    guys,

    Ok so i think i have figured a temporary solution which is downsizing to a smaller prop(APC9x4.7) that solved my sudden lift problem.

    - Today i was Auto tuning but its really windy out, so i got some done but realized that my controls are very sensitive specially my Elevator and Aileron, is there a way to turn the sensitivity way down, i can also hear the motors oscillating when i move the sticks fast and the quad wants to wobble wobble( pardon my technical terms).

    - one last thing is therea step by step somewhere in the forum on replacing motorshafts, i tried replacing one and ruined a motor, i have another one and dont want to throw money in the trash.

    Can you post a flash log from your youtube video flight(or any flight with a take off)? That would tell a lot more about the problem.

    Guys,

    thanks for all the responses, i will be going to aeromicro to pick up some parts for my quad and post more videos.

    is there a way to change the throttle parameters so it can power up much slower? ive seen guys fly their quads in there garage and i cant because it will go straight to the ceiling.

    how much weight do you guys suggest me putting on the quad?

    In altitude mode my throttle doesn't work, not sure if it disables it.

    Any more optiona?

    Hi Luis,

    Did you properly calibrate your ESCs and your radio in MP? Unless your quad is not very light(below 1kg) it shouldn't take off under 30% of throttle with your setup. Do you have web link for your motors?

    -I am running a thor 3s lipo 2200mah battery, I have checked the motor direction and it seems to be correct I don't have a problem lifting. My problem is that it powers up like a rocket and wants to take off @ about 10% throttle.

    In other words I have no control if I want to fly at 10 feet and maintain that altitude.the motors are 1000kv with the 10x4.7 apc props.

    Also all this crashes have caused bent motor shafts, broken landing gear and sent me to the emergency room because the props cut my palm amd had to get5 stitches.

    Pardon the grammar as this was sent kn the go.

    I am a newbie here, but it sure looks to me like your quad is way overpowered.  What battery are you using?
