Hi everyone,
although a hardened modeller for over 38 years I am new to drones and hope there is some help from one of you experts.
I have a Quanum Nova and have setup mission planner, I have calibrated the radio, compass, esc's motors as per instructions and at one time all was well and have flown it but now after I calibrate the esc's, all is as it should be but after unplugging the battery then plugging back in the main red/green lights are on (but not armed) I arm it then the it throttles as normal but when I put it back to min throttle the lights stay on but the motors are still running slowly, after about 10 sec's it disarms as normal and the lights stay on.
Please can anybody help with this strange happening?
Just realised I am not getting the two beep confirmation at the end of the esc calibration
Please, please it's doing my head in, Hobbyking specialist just ask stupid questions and they take about two days to even do that, well I say two days they still haven't replied after two days!!!

Do the motors start up and run slowly when you arm the controller? They should unless you disabled MOT_SPIN_ARMED in Mission Planner. If MOT_SPIN_ARMED is NOT zero, try setting it to a higher value like 100. Keep bumping it up until the motors spin when you arm the controller.
Having the motors spinning when armed is a safety feature that lets you know with no uncertainty that the thing is armed.
Thanks Brian,
No they don't but they never did, however I think I have just sussed it, there was a setting in mission planner to set the motors to minimum rpm to keep them spinning (set to 130) so I set it to zero, all seems to back to normal.
The question is why was this set to 130, can't remember if I did it or do I have the wrong parameter settings installed???, this looks like it is an aircraft setting !
