Hi, I'm doing some research relating to my first drone, which is a Quanum Nova Pro kit (should arrive any day). One vid I watched mentions calibrating via Mission Planner. How necessary would this be? I am with a macbook, and it seem Mission Planner runs on PC. Just wondering how much trouble I need to go through for something like this... and if it is even 100% necessary for this model.
Thanks!

On you Mac you should be able to use APM Planner to do your calibration/configuration.

Mission Planner is not 100% necessary, but is highly recommended.
I'm not an iOS user, but I've read there is software available specifically for iOS:
MAV Pilot.

My reply is terse, short, but I hope I have answered part of your question.
