question about throttle control/altitude

Hi there,

I am using Ardupilot with Ardushield V2, Ublox GPS and throttle control through ardupilot.

Firmware: Ardupilot V 2.7 (latest version from the project's website).

1.) How do I set up the altitude for the return to home? Or is Ardupilot just trying to keep the altitude it had when I switch ON RTL flight mode?

2.) In configuration tool I try to setup a map and I check "Over terrain". Altitude (Sealevel) is -54,793 meters. Does this mean that HOME is at altitude +54.793 meters?

Is there any way to make configuration tool to work without Internet connection? I know that Google Earth has a cache option that users can use to view offline cached regions (maps). Is it possible to do the same thing with Configuration Tool (I see that it uses Google Maps...)?

3.) Does Ardupilot Version 2.7 use barometric altitude or just GPS altitude?

Best regards!
