Rc inputs problem on Arducopter

Hello everybody,

Today I soldered all the electronics components for  my Arducopter and when I tested rc inputs I have found a strange problem:
After loading Arducopter alpha 1.0 I tested it with Configurator.  Adc work properly, but nothing on the motor (also I arm output motor with transmitter), motors outputs on Configurator stay at 1040! However  each motor connected on APM outputs move as if they were directly connect to the receiver, that means, if I move throttle stick(channel 3) with  receiver channel 3 connected on IN2, motor on OUT2 start running, idem if I move elevator>>IN1, motor on OUT1 start running and so on with rudder and aileron...
I loaded the demo program "APM_radio_test" and it is exactly the same thing: on Arduino serial, channel stay at 1200 but when I move radio stick motors start running (separately).

I tested with:
 FX-18 transmitter+ R137F receiver,
 FX-18 transmitter+ corona RP8D1 receiver
 X-412 transmitter+ R700 receiver
ACME basic 4ch transmitter +  ACME basic 4ch receiver
same problem with each!

I think I have a problem with ppm encoder but I am not sure, please give my your feeling about it.

Thanks you in advance for your help and congratulations for Arducopter team you do an amazing job with the code!

Regards,

Thibaut

  • Oups, thanks you Sebastian, I did a search on forum last friday and I did not see Robert thread (and your answer). In fact I have the same problem, so I order a bus-pirate, update ppm encoder firmware...and tell you if that fix the problem

    Thanks you for your answer.

    Regards,

  • i posted an explanation about this here
