RC Pixhawk Landing Issues

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to land a Sig Kadet with a glow engine but I am having issues landing at the right spot. The decent rate is around -8.0% on the final approach. Right before it hits the las waypoint it seems to go to full throttle and accelerate and then slow down. It makes no sense.


It comes too fast to land and overshoots the landing, making a right turn. 

This is one of the better landings. I set my landing to be straight ahead but for some reason it cannot land there. Should i purchase an airspeed sensor/lidar/rangefinder?
