I want to record video downlink with a video digitiser connected to USB port.Does anybody know a freeware (or opensource) video stabilization software that runs on a laptop computer and process digitized video for stabilization ?Or do you know if there is an affordable hardware solution for this?Thx.Miem

There is a project http://www.navlab.net/, which has an example of post-processing a 'line scanner' image capture on their front page under 'Aerial Imaging'.
Maybe this can be used for correcting video as well as stills, you would need to feed/record your accelerometer data in real time.
Depending on the size of you UAV you might be able to mount a damping system onto the camera, or use a stablised lens system.

Not sure off hand for live video, but if you want to "fix it in post" http://www.sundancemediagroup.com/articles/deshaker_guide.htm in conjunction with http://www.virtualdub.org/
Other than that is getting a camera with OIS or DIS built into it.
Hope that helps.
