Ritewing RC currently has a new fixed wing design named the Draken in development and needs some help to make it a reality. Several prototypes have been built, and they've already demonstrated essentially no tip stall, very high endurance, high payload, and high wind tolerance. I currently fly a Ritewing Z3, it's an exceptional plane for mapping applications, but its a bit of a struggle to outfit with a Sony NEX or Canon EOS M, it can handle the weight, but both barely fit. The only other drawback to the Z3 is the EPO foam, if you have a severe crash, its very difficult to repair, you basically have to cut-away and replace damaged sections (EPO just crushes and cracks, it does not spring back). The Draken will be made from EPP foam which is nearly indestructible, its a memory-type foam used in car bumpers and simply springs back and retains its shape. I've talked with the designer at Ritewing, and he's designing the camera bay of the Drak to accommodate the larger APS-C sensor mirror-less cameras now known as "Prosumer" grade. Ritewing is now working on finalizing the CAD design, but the EPP molds are extremely expensive, that's why they need the Kickstarter funding to put it into production. There's only about 10 days left in the kickstarter campaign, so if you're interested, I encourage you to check it out soon. Ritewing is great company to do business with, they've earned my business going forward.
