Rolling problem while in auto-trim calibration

Hey guys!

My copter wants to roll to the right when I am in auto-trim calibration mode (arm for 45s)

My TX trims are centred, and Iv calibrated it on a level surface. It flies alright in stabilize mode,

but lists to the right, thats why Im trying to calibrate it.

Any ideas?

Thanks :)

  • That is kind of the point of auto trim.... to trim out minor drifting....

First make sure your quad/whatever is balanced and make sure you do auto-trim in absolutely no wind, preferably you do it in a garage or somewhere indoors large enough.

Once you put it in auto trim bring it into a 3 or 4 foot hover out of ground effect. Fly it using roll and pitch to balance it. Eventually you should  get it to the point while you are in auto trim that you do not need to make adjustments. At that point land and wait out the rest of the 45 seconds, disarm, re-arm and test.

It may take a few tries.

My problem with auto-trim is i kept the stick inputs to keep it balanced. Once i let them re-center after correcting it it worked much better for me. Dunno, maybe i just got lucky :)

  • Really 45seconds ?

I've read something about 20, but couldn't get it to work.
