That said, without plugging it into a PC and installing the software and drivers provided by Samsung, you won't easily get video. You'd have to develop your own drivers and on and on. The video out options are a main driving factor in choosing a camera.

That said, according to the manual, you can get a real time video output from the HDMI port, but you have to change a few settings. There are instructions on page 132 (133rd page in the PDF) for turning on video out and adjusting the resolution.
