Selecting Radio System

Hey all just looking for inputs for a radio control system.  I'm using my hex to gather some remotely sensed data while flying over trees in a mountainous area.  I have about 30-35 minute fly time and I'm just doing a grid patterns.  I have the sensor connected with a gimbal so it can shoot straight down.  We currently have a Devo 10.

I'm looking for one that's got:

1. 1500 meter range

2. would like to control camera angle (change in flight etc)

3. can do 6 flight modes

4. Whatever else you think i can need to look at?

Thanks

  • Take a look at Graupner HoTT systems.  very flexible and programmable, and most important the remote telemetry.

It sends back RX signal strength and quality, and with ArduCopter+hott firmware, or any Pixhawk firmware - you can also get GPS, voltage/current/mode, heading and lots of other info right back to your TX display.

And this is before I mention speech and audible alarms, also customizable.

    :)
