Hey people, I have a quick question and I hope anyone experience can help me......
I have assembled and setup everything with the ground control system GCS, RC receiver, ESC, servos, etc. When the onboard xbee is connected, the servos are twitching slightly in both the manual and stablized mode. When I disconnect the onboard xbee (and thus the GCS), the servos stop twitching and behave properly in both modes.
I am wondering if it is because of low power supply connecting to the APM; i am using a 3cell 1000mAh lipo. I really hope it is not a problem of bad PPM encoder firmware.
Some background on my APM:
If I connect the APM to the computer with the USB w/o the ESC + battery, the servos twitch, with the ESC + battery, the servos dont twitch.
When I upload the programme onto APM, it always fail to upload. My friend ask me to hold onto the reset button and release when the "byte size message" displays and using this method, it loads.
Some experience guy show me some light here please.

I tried the CLI you suggested,
With all three servos attached, I got:
CH1: 1501 | 1528
CH2: 1500 | 1530
CH3: 900 | 1508
CH4: 1500 | 1544
With out0 and out1; two servos attached, i got:
CH1: 900 | 900
CH2: 1200 | 1200
CH3: 1200 | 1200
CH4: 1200 | 1200
I remove all servos, only attaching the receiver to the APM, i have these readings:
CH1: 1120 | 1933
CH2: 1125 | 1928
CH3: 1124 | 1928
CH4: 1124 | 1931
What does it means, please, I feel sucky...
Sorry for the noob question, How do I check if I have V1.0 or V1.4
The problem of loading new code is with any code; be it LED test, servos dance code or actual APM v1.0. Everytime I need to upload the programme to APM, I need to press and hold reset button, insert USB, when message of "byte size" appear, release reset button. This way, all the programme can be uploaded onto my APM, I dont think is a huge problem initially.
I have also followed that tread posted by Martint and by my own observation, I roughly conclude that it COULD be a problem with Power (thus my servos twitch when onboard Xbee is connected; stops when disconnected).
Kinda trying to find out if anyone knows my exact problem or if I really do need to buy myself a new APM.
