This afternoon I powered up my quad and was watching the MP, eventually I had 11 satellites and a gpshdop of 0.81.

My home postion however remained at the point where I flew this morning, 5530m away! It stayed like this for the whole flight and was like this when I landed. What if I had tried to RTL? If that is not my home position why does the MP say "distance to home".

([SOLVED] - Apparently the -0.3 is in radians!) The other issue is that my magnetic declination is set to auto yet it always reports -0.3, I'm at -17°3'! I turned off auto declination, set it to -17 and flew a bit, when I landed and checked it was -985... Set it back to auto and it went to -0.3.

What's going on?

  • Just trying out 2.9.1 on the light experimental hex and flying in a restricted area nicely. Same stability as 2.9, so I was letting it just sit in loiter for a while.

Then I thought "I'll RTL and just check this wonderful landing routine". The moment I did, the hexa decided to exit stage right, but luckily a tree was there to catch it. It looked like it was heading for the office where I had been working on it.

So it seems it is not setting RTL Home to the arming point.

So where is setting RTL Home?
