We need to start serious discussions about all kinds of standards - and why?

Because if we can agree upon, vote upon, etc. the coming standards, and make them the accepted standard official or unofficial among ourselves, then when the bureaucrats start getting deep into our business, they are going to want to figure out what standards should be set, and if they are already set, the lazy bastards will just accept the prevailing standards already in existence, which we WOULD have set, IF we decide to set them.

To do so is not rocket science, it is not even hard or difficult, and in fact, could be quite fun, if the admins/moderators of this forum could start some kind of contest to do so especially.

If we do not set the standards, then someone who does not necessarily know what they are talking about or dealing with will SET THEM FOR US, and the odds are that we will not like it to say the least!

Let's start some conversation about this specific subject and get the snowball rolling down the hill ?
