Hi,

Can someone give me a quick break down on how to set up an ESC with a 3DR APM 2.5?

This is for a fully autonomous application- so no transmitter or receiver is incorporated with the control system.

Am I correct in thinking that you take the following steps:

1) Programme the ESC with timings etc with a programming card.

2) Then somehow calibrate it with the APM 2.5 (how is this done exactly?)

I understand it is a risk, but it is a risk I will take due to it operating within controlled areas

Operation without an R/C system is neither recommended, nor safe!
Having NO fail safe or manual backup is not a good idea at all.
