I'm creating this thread to share your drone/copter information. I believe, this would help immensely for newbies like me during the initial build. For example, the Chris's blog on cheap Hobby King quad configuration is really a good resource.
I don't want to burden anyone who is willing to share their info. Hence all fields are optional. Atleast the first 5 fields are ideal. Please find the list of fields to copy/paste at the end, so you can start filling :-).

Hi Anthony, I'll answer your questions as they apply to me:
1. Photography. I have a project where I need to take good quality photographs from above.
2. Between 11 and 15 hundred Euro plus the Radio. I bought most of the parts from Hobbyking.
3. Bought a mini quad from XL Toys.
4a Courage! If you buy a RTF, not very much. If you are like me, building by your own drone, it takes thinking, calculation, time and you´re scared when hovering for the first time :-)
4b Make sure everything is OK. I have made a checklist. Then the arming check when powering on: gyros, compasses, GPS, batteries, radio connection and eventually telemetry.
4c Keep you eyes on the drone and your hands on the radio. Let no one disturb you and you're fine.
5. Except for the weak landing gear not much. I had to invent my own landning gear.
6. Hurting someone! The weight and the rotating carbon fiber propellers make the drone dangerous.
7. No people around, especially never, ever below. Have setup as many Fail-safe operations as possible for battery, transmitter, outside allowed area. And have a switch, on my transmitter, for RTL (Return To Launch).
8. I have a separate insurance when flying official. When performing test flights in my garden or at any allowed RC field I have no problem.
9. Yes, I have friends flying quads. I'm the only one flying a drone of this size.

AUW 250g still the same light weight bird open frame construction.
last tested 2 flights 4min then 6min , total 10mins flight on a 3s 500mah and with the camera onboard. , not bad when it has similar capacity of a small multirotor on the same payload. to my guess
