chrisa commented on Gerard Toonstra's blog post Redesigning multirotor ESC's
"Here is a block drawing I made I think this would be good as a stick so that it will fit in thin places, also the way the power is routed, there can be a large amount of capacitors along the side wihch will be away from the heat source and not…"

chrisa commented on Gerard Toonstra's blog post Redesigning multirotor ESC's
"This is a great idea and get ready for a huge software group this can be modified in unlimited ways if designed correctly would use this as a main board for some small 1or2-motor applications."

chrisa replied to Euan Ramsay's discussion Just can't get yaw to work
"So if there is no option for D,
this assumes you are moving a small mass, and that you need to keep P low.
I (integral) can help if there is any sensor offset or drifting."

chrisa replied to Euan Ramsay's discussion Just can't get yaw to work
"Because you don't need to use any differential feedback for small craft with good response.
If it was a larger craft the inertia of moving would cause it to overshoot which is why a negative D is added, to reduce the speed as it approaches the…"

chrisa commented on Euan Ramsay's blog post APM into 230 size quad
"Do you have any videos or examples of this?
I would like to see how it can perform turns while in forward motion, or how well it can strafe, thanks."

"It would look great with some body or fiberglass or something. Even carbon fiber would be better, it looks "not aerodynamic" at all.
Can you compare the V tail to the standard setup?"

chrisa replied to Euan Ramsay's discussion Just can't get yaw to work
"So are you relying on the supplied tools only, or do you know anything about PID?
I think you should understand PID first, try Wikipedia.
In general, you would want to have D low, almost 0, I also low, but sometimes it helps, and P is the one that…"

chrisa commented on AKRCGUY's blog post DVD Delivery By DRONE
"It seems like "the payloader" (just an electromagnet from a solenoid) is a waste of weight because of all the wires and magnets, and contraptions that need to be attached, and it only can carry 1kg, which is pathetic as far as delivery is concerned.…"

chrisa replied to Ewen Rankin's discussion One Hour Flight Times - Specs
"I used eflite motors and they all have lasted through 5 crashes. The bearings look replaceable.
They also list honest numbers for ratings on the website so you can match the esc to the motor, or just go with 20A or 30A and 3S. The brushless gimbal…"

"Thanks for all the comments I will update, maybe help others or post a round a little bit, or just shup for a while.
The Eflite motors are really good I have not had a problem yet. Even after that crazy crash.
Because the arms are so thin, the cost…"

a the good thing is its all the same part, you can add more for more strength or take off for less weight.
2.yea that explains a lot3.time to show you this4.was directly attached to the motors so…"

"Well the reason for "No Spar" is to allow attachments. It is fine for this arm length.
When I increased the arm length to 24"  it needed the bottom spar. but 12 inches is easy."

chrisa replied to Christopher Leveck's discussion arduplane "off the shelf"
"Its possible but it will take a long time, I think you should just get a cheap apm board and modify it? Does that make sense for what you need?"
