Netflix joked about it, I thought I'd give it a try since my brother in law wanted to borrow one of my DVD's.  Here are the results.

This is great. It shows the real world challenges of using current multi-rotor technology to deliver something. It looked like you were getting ground support/feedback via cell phone from your brother-in-law. I think it's safe to say we have a lot to learn about how to make safe/reliable systems, if indeed multi-rotors are to deliver physical goods in the near future. Nice experiment and thanks for sharing.

That was major cool. Very well done. As Earthpatrol said, it shows just how tricky this can be. It looked like you had to utility lines spanning the landing zone. Good flying work if you ask me.

I just can't imaging thousands of UAVs running around the city crashing into windshields while people are driving. You put that many of them in the sky there will be a steady percentage of crashes.

Cool!

Your neighbourhood is lovely and green, and everyone's yards are neat and well kept. Looks nice a nice place to live.

Well done navigating the difficult delivery point, it appears that you were lucky not to make contact with the overhead lines at your brother's place. Next time get him to walk a few extra steps out into the grassed area of his yard so you can keep clear of obstacles.

Yes we had some phone and cable tv lines at the destination and that was why we had each other on the phone to make those small adjustments. Thanks for the kind words, we had fun making the video.

You realise of course, you're never getting that DVD back...:-)

Next time, use one of these - works great. :-)

Only problem is, I haven't got it to work on a phantom properly. :-(

Euan, I've inquired about your product and your company a while back, send me one and I'll make a video about it.

You did? Must have missed that...euan "at" performanceuav.co.uk is the address to try.

It's available for purchase, but we're having a few issues porting the ecommerce engine over to the new hosting.

The old ecommerce engine is still running, but without SSL so only takes paypal: http://shop.performanceauv.com/
