Show your stacks!

I was just curious to see how different people had their APMs and other electronics arranged and mounted, so please join in by posting pictures of your setup.  Also, I'd like ideas on mounting the 3DR radio because they way I have it now I'm worried that a flip over will cause the antenna to break the radio board.  It's held down with some pretty tough 3M double sided tape.

Here's my current setup:

  • Having had very good results with 2.8.1, and having nothing but crashes with 2.9, I took the advice given and started modifications to prevent vibration and prevent vibration getting to the APM.

The cheap plastic props were definitely causing a lot of Z axis vibes and replacing them with APC's was an improvement, but I was still having Alt Hold problems.

This is the remount of the APM. Futaba Gyro tape, 1mm Lead plate, then the APM 2.5 velcro'ed to the lead plate.

Will test fly as soon as the over 700mm of rain we had in the last 3 days dissipates, and that was not a typo, at LEAST 700mm fell in the last 3 days.

  • Jeff - I had my stack set up the same way before the update to Arducopter 2.9. With the update I added some vibe foam under the APM so needed to raise the whole stack about 1/4 to 1/2 inch to accommodate the foam.

Also, curious as to where you put your power module? Is it tucked under with your PDB? Couldn't get mine to fit there.
