Hello all,

I'm finding a lot of mixed discussions about using Afro ESCs and Pixhawk together. I haven't found any definitive answers.

I've been having some Pixhawk + ESC woes lately. Here's what I've been up to:

I purchased 3 30A Emax ESCs for my Tricopter build. After completely integrating these ESCs into my build, I found out the hard way that they are not compatible with Pixhawk. I was completely ignorant to the fact that compatibility issues even existed. (getting-pixhawk-to-work-with-emax)

I've heard good things from a guy at work about Afro ESCs (he is not a Pixhawk user) did some homework and found this discussion: quality-30a-esc-that-is-pixhawk-friendly

In that discussion I found comments like this in regards to Afro ESCs.

"I've been using them for a couple months without any problems."

"Love me some Afros. I've used almost every amp rating version successfully with Pixhawk/APM/HKmini."

So I went ahead and purchased 3 of them. After I completed my order, I found this thread: pixhawk-causing-motor-sync-issues

So now I'm worried I'm going to have problems with these ESCs now...

Have the Afro ESC / Pixhawk issues been identified and resolved?

If not, I'd rather not even deal with them. Is there a good rule to follow when choosing ESCs for the Pixhawk? For example (making sure the ESCs have a 400hz input?)
