Sony NEX5 Trigger Video No Photos

Hi Friends

I built a X8 Flyng WING and I want to use a Sony Nex 5 to take pictures automatically using the APM2.t Board.


I have  a IR LED connected to the A9 port of the APM board (And to the IR cameras´s receiver)
The parameters used are :
CAM_TRIGG_DIST = 50
CAM_TRIG_TYPE = 1 (Relay)
Relay Pn = 13
CAM_Duration = 10

The PWM´s limits are 1200 to shutter off and 1900 to shutter ON on the RC8 option.

The problem is that when i use the  TRigger CAMERA NOW command to test the camera trigger function. The Camera is triggered as Video Mode NOT in Photo mode (I wat to take photos not  to recor d video!!!!)

Does some body had this trouble.?

    Ok. It does function OK (Using PWM´s between 900 and 1500) . I will test on a Flight.  Thanks

    I´m Using a sLED SONY IR Shutter from flytron.com.

    I already tried to connect it in a Servo OUTPUT (Labeled  number 8 ) then configured the

    CAM_TRIG_TYPE = 0 (Servo)   but still triggering Video NOT Photos.
    Does it the relay pin = 13 ?
    Do i still using the PWM´s limits 1200 and 1900 ?

    If i use the Output #8 , must i use the RC8?

    Try it as a servo and not a relay type. Plug it in one of the servo ports.

    Hi,

    What kind of IR LED are you using? I use those IR shutter remotes that are sold by by hobbyking. These work via the RC output (RC7 or RC8), not the relay pins. I only use the A9 pin for CHDK cameras. Try plugging it on RC8 and tell us if it works.
