Spektrum DX7s help

Hi all,

The APM instructions indicate that most RC receivers the three mode toggle switch (used for RTL, loiter, stabilize) is defaulted to channel 5.  With my current setup the three mode toggle switch is defaulted to channel 6.  Is there anyway to change this?  I didn't see anything in the instructions.

The second speed bump I have run into which I am sure is a very simple fix as well, is the hexacopters positioning in air.  For example. if I were to take off with the front of the hexa facing away from me and pitch the hexa nose down.  Naturally the hexa it would move away from me.  It performs this task beautifully.  However, if I were to then rotate 180 degrees so the front of the hexa would be facing me and then pitch the nose down.  The hexa continues to move farther away instead of closer.  Any ideas to why this is happening?

Thanks,

Josh

  • Josh,

Just connect channel 6 on the RC receiver output to channel 5 input on the APM, then your 3 position switch will control the mode.

On the second point have you selected simple mode, this makes the multicopter move in the direction that you push the stick  relative to yourself  regardless of the orientation of the multicopter.
