More and more RTF 'çopters are coming out with spin on prop adapters or even spin on props (DJI, et al).
The idea is no nuts or other tightening methods, the prop adapter spins onto the threaded shaft and self tightens due to the rotation of the motor.

Can one use standard props (APC slowfly, etc) with these or do you need the carbon flat-center props?
Are there any that are designed for standard props?

Some folding prop systems seem to be appearing too, based on the DJI S900 system: http://www.hobby-wing.com/arris-folding-propeller-holder1.html, http://www.hobby-wing.com/1552-folding-propeller-bracket.html, http://www.hobby-wing.com/arris-1555-folding-propeller.html.
They do all seem to be for 15" props though, hopefully smaller sizes appear as it can make a multirotor nice and compact.
hello Graham sorry there are no self locking prop adapters for regular props only for DJI mout style with 2 holes .
as for folding props there available from 8x4 to 17x5 covers most frame sizes avaleble in 2 blade and 3 blade versions.

In the video, it appears there is a black adapter below the prop (above the bronze colored, top piece of the spin-on quick release). The black adapter probably has either two or four screws to holding it to the bronze colored quick release. Then the black adapter appears to have a single threaded shaft to which you would use a prop nut to hold a flat center prop. Some props have a flat center with two holes to which you would mount a flat two hole washer (actually three if you count the center alignment hole). It appears the quick release adapters will accommodate either style.
This is what is in the video:

This is what I am talking about for props with three holes:

Hi Joe, I'm looking for something without any separate screws, like these: http://www.amazon.com/Hobbypower-Locking-Carbon-Phantom-Vision/dp/B... and these http://www.aliexpress.com/store/product/DJI-Phantom2-Vision-9443-Pr... but I just want the adapter so I can use any kind of prop.
It's a great product opportunity if there aren't any out there yet
Something like these but for APC and other types of prop
Here is this kind. Crazy though, it has three holes, not four. I don't see how the heck that will bolt to any existing 4-hole motor. Maybe I'm missing something.

Joe, you've got a 3-mount adapter, you'll need a 4-mount adapter and check your spacing as it needs to match exactly (e.g. 10mm mount spacing won't fit a motor with 12mm mount spacing). I'm using Turnigy Multistar 2814-700Kv motors which will suit those adapters of yours perfectly but my CF props aren't T-style to suit this motor shaft.
