What kind of functionality you want from this module, like vision-based hovering indoor or vision based obstacle avoidance.....?

Both those 2 things : Obstacle avoidance no1 and Optical Flow with distance awareness would be no2.
More than 2 units per machine, ie: forward AND down.
Ability to feed stereo vision to video goggles for 3D FPV.

If the functionality of obstacle avoidance is based on putting a constraint on the maximum flying speed of Quadcopter, will you accept this condition?
In situations where optical avoidance is necessary, flying speed would be a very secondary consideration.
So yes, a slower flying copter would be quite acceptable.
