Hi all!
Once I´d like to descripe some strange power behavior of the apm. I tested both verseions - the old board and the new board (1.0 and 1.4) with 2 different IMU shields.
I tried 3 different power setups:
power via the ESC: booting problems with both boards. Sometime APM boots, but then servo flicker and strange blinking of the MUX led (blue)
powering via a 5,1V regulator (3A): same behaviour like above
powering with 4 cell NIMH battery: everything perfekt!
disconnecting the xbee helps a little, but not all the time...
its ok for me to take a 4cell NIMH in the air. But I´s like it more, to use the flight battery alone. I use a 3sLipo (11,1V).
Now my big Question: Is it ok, to power the APM vie the external power input with 11,1V? In the tecnical details, they say 7 to 12V is ok. (And yes, I will remove the jumper;)
Thanks for your help
Thomas

P.S. I also put the new hex file to the ppm chip. but i have a other hardware, and dit not dear to write the fuse bits also.
P.P.S. I´m gona to use 6 servos: 2 for aileron (via y-cable), 2 for flaps - directly from the receiver, 1 rudder, 1 elevator
