hi, i have a quadcopter , and am using Turnigy plush 30A ESC's with turnigy 1000kv BLDC's, and i recently installed a heavier frame and the quad can barely hover for 5 minutes.
i was thinking about getting stronger motors and keeping the same ESC's that i have.
what are the options that i have here ?
and i also want to change the battery, am using 2200 mAh 11.1V, what would be a good upgrade for longer flight time ,since bigger motors will consume more energy?

you need to let us know the KV of your motor and the model & the size prop your using ?
power can be increased by adding larger voltage battery ( cause motor to spin faster) 3S to 4S or 6S as well as larger props but your motors and ESC must support what your upgrading to? Motor & ESC must support 4S battery if your going to use 4S battery. using larger props than your motor supports cause the motor to overheat and draw more current than ESC supports causing the motor and ESC to burn out.
am using :
4 motors : Turnigy Aerodrive D2830/11 1000kv
4 ESCs : turnigy plush 30A bulletproof speed controller, BEC 2A/5V ver 3.1 , DC 5.6V-16.8V
4 props : 10 X 4.5.
i want to keep the same ESC's and push its capabilities further , without over loading them.
i want to start with a bigger battery to have a longer flight time, but bigger battery means more weight , so i want to compensate with bigger motors and bigger props with the same ESCs
well look at T-Motor air gear motor , prop , ESC combo only $99 to $130 supports 4S battery.
also you can use phantom upgrade motors but make sure they run on 4S battery DYS model does .
