Hi, just trying to set up my apm, but I have no control of the servos with the motor not running, does that mean that I can´t land the plane without the motor running?,, I´m flying a wing with no landing gear, ,the prop will always hit hard on the ground.

Please assist.

  • Looks like the APM has the ADuCopter firmware installed. Hence the system said "Alt. Mode".

    Just a thought... I would attempt to re install the Arduplane firmware and see what happens.

      throttle failsafe disabled

      ardupilot powered with esc cable lead

      servos connected to apm directly

      jp1 connector inside the case

      the receiver is a FrSky D6FR

      The Alt Mode in the taranis is a voice added only,, not sent by the apm.

  • hi , ,thanks for your help,,, it means that I can only move the servos that control the elevons when I have the brushless motor running,, this happens in manual mode and fbwa mode.

    Another issue,  I have low throws on the servos to pitch up and down in fbwa, on manual they are fine. I tried increasing mixing gain to 1 and no changes.

    • That is very strange indeed! I think you should make a video showing us what you mean. Post it on YouTube and put a link here.

      The other issue is simple. Your P gains need to be increased. Just use the new autotune feature.
