Hi guys, not sure if I'm the only guy to notice this...I used to be the only weird one at my model club who was APM-ing, with full telemetry etc etc...Now I have got a few more guys into it,, I had my model out on the field, with my Telem computer running but not yet connected,, then a friend of mine tried to connect his computer to his model,, but connected to my model!!!! HOLY CRAP!!!This is worse than pre 2.4GHz days,,, he could take full control of my model,, worse still,, if I had been flying, and he changed a parameter, mistakenly thinking he was connected to his own model,, anything could happen....There is no security/binding of computer to model... It needs to be like Bluetooth or 2.4GHz handshake,,,I now run around with Telem radio unplugged, unless I really need to use it,, and have to make sure no-one else is using theirs,,Is there a way to "BIND" your computer to your model??? And prevent someone else connecting to it????thanksBob

It's still worth turning off the radio when not in use as you can still interfere with other radios, although it should be minimal given the frequency hopping ad error correction etc that is used.
I fly with quite a few APM users and this is a common problem.

You need to change the NetID of your telemetry radios to something unique. You can do it through mission planner. See http://copter.ardupilot.com/wiki/common-using-the-3dr-radio-for-tel...
