I upgraded to MP 1.2.55 mav1.0 a few days ago. Everything seemed to work OK until I went to download some logs.
When I connect to the terminal, I'm getting garbage characters at the prompt where there should be nothing. A string of three or four characters pop up on their own every second and if left long enough will fill the whole screen: See below:
Also.. When I'm downloading logs, I'm getting the following error message. This pops up every 20 seconds or so during the download. I have to click OK to continue.
I rebooted my computer and disconnected/reconnected my APM but that didn't help. . I have the correct port and speed. I'm thinking it's some sort of parity error, but I'm not sure where to look... Any ideas as to what could be causing this?

Oh great.... After posting this I sat for a while and tried the log download again. This time it worked OK.. I didn't do anything. I didn't even disconnect and reconnect my USB cable..
But while I'm here. I still have a couple of log download questions....
What does the ".bin to .log" button do?
What does the: "(adv) Dump All DF" button do.
What is the "is ArduCopter?" check box for at the bottom?
